The is what Air Quality looks like - MVHR Heat Recovery Filters from the UK!

You can't see air.
If you could, you'd probably wear a mask 24/7 both indoors and outdoors.

A MVHR Heat Recovery system moves air in, around and out of homes to ensure good indoor air quality all year round.

The filters inside the unit capture pollutants and particles in the air to help protect the motors inside the unit, but importantly not to introduce pollution into a home (espeically in cities and urban areas)

Here's some examples from London (they were once WHITE!)

Filters are just part of the equasion
What other MVHR Heat Recovery Maintenance is required?

It is recommended that a MVHR Heat Recovery system is maintaned and serviced annually.
This includes checking and replacing filters approx every 6 months (or sooner depending on your outdoor air pollution levels and your indoor air quality requirements) AND servicing the MVHR Unit itself, cleaning the ducting, air valves and rebalancing the system.

Whilst filters are an important part of MVHR Heat Recovery Maintenance, they are only one part of the system that gets clogged up.

Build up of dust, debris, grease and other particulate matter occurs in other areas:

  • Motors
  • Heat Exchanger Heat Cube
  • In room air valves and duct connections

You'll be amazed at how much dust and debris build up occurs even over a short period of time.

Clogged filters and motors impact performance - you'll feel and see the difference in your home;

  • Increased Noise
  • Reduced Performance
  • Motor failures and errors
