The Project...

Selco Builders Warehouse had 9 apartments under development that needed MVHR Heat Recovery ventilation systems. Becuase of it's urban location, they chose to go with the Mitsubishi Lossnay LV-250 range with integrated NOx filters (Activated Carbon filters).

The Air Shop designed this MVHR system for all 9 apartments and supplied all the products for the system. Our MVHR design services include airflow calculations to meet building regulations, a dedicated account manager, and all the advice on choosing the right MVHR unit, ducting, accessories and more.

This was paired with rigid ducting - Rigid ducting is cheaper and it a suitable option for renovations as it can be more challenging to install during retrofit projects.

The products

The mitsubishi Lossnay VL-250 MVHR Heat Recovery ventilation unit offers up to 90% heat recovery efficiency (heat recovery makes your home more energy efficient) and can save you up to £300 each year on heating bills.

It is one of the only MVHR ventilation units on the market with integrated NOx filters, which offer a unique benefit of filtering out the finest particles and pollution including NOx emissions.

What Are The Benefits Of NOx (Activated Carbon) Filters?

There are very little products on the market that offer integrated actived carbon filters that filter the finest of particles such as pollution, smoke and odours.

In urban areas or areas near heavy road traffic or high rise apartments, this can be hugely beneficial to help improve indoor air quality and make your indoor environment fresh and comfortable.

What Do Nox Filters Remove?

NOx filters trap the finest of particles in the air that regular MVHR filters can't filter out. Odours, smoke, smoke fumes, pollution and obviously NOx emissions are a few of the things the filters can remove. They are becoming increasingly popular in areas where pollution is a concern or where buildings need to meet specific requirements.

The Air Shop reccommends NOx (Activated Carbon) filters for anyone with concerns around pollution or air quality.
