What are filters and why should I change them in my MVHR Heat Recovery System?
The filters in your MVHR Heat Recovery system are vital to your indoor air quality help protect the unit and prolong its life. There are two filters inside the unit - one for extract air and one for supply air.
As air moves through the system, dust, debris, and grease starts to build up and the filters protect the motors and heat exchanger, whilst cleansing the air entering your home.
Filters for MVHR Heat Recovery System are recommended to be replaced every 6 months, but this is dependent on your outdoor and indoor air quality. Units and filters in higher pollution areas may need replacing as little as every 3 months.

How Do I change my MVHR Filters?
Basic Guidance:
• Power off your heat recovery unit
• If required, remove the front panel from the heat recovery unit, alternatively, pull the visible filter handles
• Remove the heat recovery filters from the heat recovery unit by pulling the tab
• Insert the new heat recovery filters into the heat recovery unit – make sure you place the correct filter on the supply and extrac sides of your unit
• Replace the front panel or filter handles
• Power up the MVHR Heat Recovery unit
• Reset the filter/maintenance light
